Columbus on the High Seas

Different route, different reason but a parrallel journey nevertheless - along the same time line, inextricably linked. Share the last nailbiting centimetre with us at -

Looking forward to an Ardbeg with the ferryman.

Can't wait to see those wee blobs join up to that distant shore - is it really at a place called Shaganarmy? Dougs and Johnny will be eager to hear all details of this fantastic voyage - after the celebratory Ardbeg of course! Hope this means our two heroes will now be in calmer waters

Reading your update 'The Breadman Cometh' I'm reminded of the programme our kids loved to watch, Super Granny. Remember the catchphrase,
"Is thurr nuthin sh' cannae dae?"
Apply this well to Mcfarlane. Rename Duracell Dancell.
Stuck in a room full of students using computers for their Higher prelims. Throught the window I can see out over Portobello to the Pans. Thinking of you both, Much Love Lewis

Anyone who has followed this epic voyage cannot fail to be impressed at the courage of this 'latter day' Boys Own hero!!
Sorry, Hermione.. When Doug and I were helping prepare the boat,I thought your laddie was 'off his rocker' to undertake such a monumental task! I have been with him everyone of the 120 days!

A Wee Pome Fur Doug n' Mags..

Just as waves fold into themselves, sigh, then play themselves out high on the foreshore.

It's quarter to midnight and I've just driven back to Portobello leaving the Macfarlanes coorying in for what I hope will be a calm night.
I think the next few days will be a time for the two of them to nestle down in the knowledge that we are all with them in spirit.
Mags will post a new blog when she has more news.
In the meantime I wish all you loving friends and family a Goodnight, especially jeannie who is going through a rough patch.

PS My home computer had problems last night and this message seems to have turned up twice! Double the thoughts and wishes xx

'Mione & Mick are in Chagauramas (not shag-an-army, Johnnie) in Trinidad waiting nail biting as for the rower the following winds are 25 to 30 knots & Leven can not get any respite as has to look after the Boat. We hope to charter something to meet him before he has to come through the Dragons Teeth on the north side of Trinidad (moral support only as no help allowed as his row must be unsupported). Leven and we all are thinking about you both Dougie and Mags.
Loads of Love
