Nuala's Card
So many cards. So much sympathy. Each one a poingnant reminder of an empty space once warmed by Macfarlane's smile.
"He had time for you", "He always made you feel special", "He made us laugh", "He cheered up our day"
Then there is the hand-made card from Nuala and her class - a glittering, sequined portrait of their primary PE teacher. This sparkling image tears at the heartstrings in a way that only the innocence of childhood can. "You were the best, Sir".
What more is there to say ?

Nuala is just amazed to see her card on the net. She reckons it looks better than real life. I read the words to her and my eyes filled with tears but she did not stay to read any of the other comments. I carried on and read lots of the other material. I can see why Mags could make this into a book to help others. Truly remarkable - and the more I read then the more I knew him -
and the more I read the more I understood him - and the more I read the more I wish I knew him more. Wonderful and inspiring website. James (Nuala's dad, Susie's brother)
